IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK

Bandai Namco
Launch Campaign

We’ve spent a lot of time in the world of Supermassive Games’ The Dark Pictures Anthology over the past three years. As it forms the basis for the Halloween teaser.

CHECKING IN

The Devil In Me, sees a documentary crew being invited to explore the modern-day replica of a serial killer’s murder castle. Unsurprisingly things, take a very dark turn.

UNDER SURVEILLANCE

The client approached us for assistance in creating two trailer assets. One would serve as a Halloween-themed teaser, while the other would be used as a launch trailer. As The Devil In Me centres around our crew being watched by an unseen foe, they wanted one of these trailers to have a CCTV feel. Given its cinematic nature, they also cited the Saw films as a reference, albeit with a twist.

For the launch trailer, the client proposed a hotel advert quite unlike any other. We liked the idea of juxtaposing holiday cliches against the sinister fates that might befall our heroes. This idea would become the basis for a 90 second edit that acknowledged some classic horror tropes whilst keeping its tongue firmly in cheek. We selected a batch of quick, horrifying action sequences that would be suitably jarring alongside a welcoming voiceover.

YOU’LL NEVER WANT TO LEAVE

In addition to the two trailers, we also worked up a digital toolkit and artwork to be used across multiple territories. We put forward a number of different creative routes as alternatives to the game’s key art and one of these was ultimately taken forward.
